A man's story connecting India's betrayal! A must read for Indians.

Shabir – a multi talented person whose talent gets noticed after 10 years!

Who is Shabir?

Shabir is the music composer of the 2018 Tamil Romance film ‘Saagaa’. He composed the sleeper hit romantic song ‘Yaayum Nyaayum’. For Indian viewers, he is just yet another new face who’s going to create some hype for the forthcoming years.

But, he’s not. Shabir on another side, a national award winner represented as Youth Icon of Singapore 2017!

How he got unnoticed for the last ten years?

Shabir was a contestant of 2005 Vasantham Star broadcasted on Mediacorp Vasantham, Singapore.
He got eliminated soon in the reality show stating that his pronunciation and slang wasn’t good enough.

His fans went on a sign in protest supporting him. There were more than thousand signatures that want him back. Thus, he was included as a wild card entry and consequently became the winner.

He was one of the earliest  independent Tamil music composers. He released three albums in 2005. We just know HipHop Tamizha and take pride on him who started composing independent music in 2011, six years after Shabir!

Shabir, was not only a music composer, he was also a very good actor and had won The Best Actor award for the biggest hit Singaporean Tamil Police Series ‘Vettai’.

He composed the title tracks of various Singaporean Tamil TV Series which were all success in Singapore but wasn’t noticed in India!

We have no idea of TV Series in Singapore. After ten years working in the Singapore Television Industry, Shabir atlast have swum through the sea and reached India recently.

I have seen Singaporean shows and I have wondered over their story, direction and dialogue delivery. They are not like us fighting over languages and religion. They mention themselves as Indians in the drama itself!

The Singaporean TV series are restricted in India stating that it would affect the Indian economy. There are identified as Indians by Singapore, then how come they affect the Indian economy? Are we betraying them?

Yes, Singaporean Series aren’t like Indian TV series featuring either romance or stupid family issues. They’re different. They owe international response.

With 120 million of us here they are there standing amidst hardships with their talents without getting noticed forever. I fear how many people are there waiting for their talents to get noticed by us.

With the modern world becoming closer, we must be ready to give some recognition to people who owe- instead of praising actors from other countries.

Share this page and spread awareness on this issue and support them at least on social media and promise them that we are here.

If their talents get noticed, I'm damn sure that we would see another Baahubali!
