Yes, Robert the doll is one of the world’s mysterious subjects. The haunted doll is kept locked and safe in the basement of Key West, Florida.
When you come to see Robert, he is not even worth of getting played by a child. He is dumb and not capable of creating interest. Yet, appearances can be deceptive at times.
Robert is simple and wears a sailor suit with a stuffed lion. The famous gore franchise, Child’s play was inspired from him. From Child’s play to Anabelle, I wonder why dolls play the gothic roles.
It’s flashback time!
In 1897, a family lived in Key West, Florida. They were rich and had many servants. But they treated their servants as slaves. It was 1897 and there were no strict laws enforced. Thus, they were given a cursed doll (said to be a Voodoo) by one of their servants. It was handed to their son, Robert Eugene. Eugene named the doll, Robert.
Robert the doll started his venture at the house. He made creep sounds, scared Eugene that he gonna die and gave him mental torture. Robert was also seen smiling from the windows of the house when no one was there! (as per resources)
After Eugene’s death in 1972, Robert was placed in the attic. Everyone thought that the story faced an end but consequently he was found by Charlotte, a ten year old girl whose family moved to the house then.
Charlotte experienced the same as Robert. Even after thirty years, she cried in an interview,
“He talks and he wanted to kill me. I will never forget him in my life. He usually swear a lot”
Creating a fear among common people, Robert was arrested in the museum and he still resides there, PLAYING TRICKS!
